Our mission is rooted in practice. We don't simply talk about inclusive education, we live it every day through UCP Charter Schools, where educators, administrators, therapists, and specialists work together to unlock the potential of every student.
For more than 25 years, UCP Charter Schools has built experience creating learning environments where students with and without disabilities learn, participate, and grow together. That experience is the foundation for why UCP Institute was created: to share the strategies, insights, and lessons learned from our classrooms with educators and schools working to strengthen inclusive practices in their own communities.
Educators have many options when seeking professional learning and resources. What shapes the UCP Institute approach is where our learning begins: in real classrooms, with educators implementing inclusive practices every day.
Our goal is to provide professional learning that connects to the realities of charter schools, offering practical strategies, resources, and support that educators can apply immediately to create classrooms where every student has meaningful access, active participation, and opportunities to thrive.
Recognition of the Work Behind the Mission
We are honored that UCP Charter Schools was recently recognized as a Bronze Winner for Best Charter School in the 2026 Central Florida Favorites Awards. This recognition reflects the dedication of the educators, staff, students, and families who make inclusive education possible every day.
The accompanying feature, Creating Possibilities Through Inclusive Education, highlights the philosophy that has guided UCP’s work from the beginning: when schools are intentionally designed to support every learner, students have opportunities to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.

That same commitment guides the work of UCP Institute.
Why the Institute Exists
UCP Institute exists to share what we have learned through decades of practice. Our resources and learning experiences are shaped by educators who understand the challenges and opportunities of creating inclusive classrooms.
Through the Institute, educators can access:
Practical professional learning focused on inclusive instruction.
Ready-to-use classroom resources and planning tools.
Opportunities to learn directly from educators implementing inclusive practices.
Coaching and support designed around the needs of charter schools
Everything we offer is designed to help educators strengthen instruction, increase student participation, and build learning environments where every student can belong and succeed.
